Another question

On our table #2, if we included a sentence or two in our write-up about the transformation, can we also put something like Height = centered height...etc. in our note for the table...or do we not need to???

Also, in my table I've listed Height^2 as one of the variables...is this ok or should I say "height squared"?

To report transformation, always report it in the write-up, not in the table.

As for Height^2, according to the APA publication manual p. 147, put "Height^2", not spell out "square".

Just so you know though, Dr. Sung said to put something like "Height= height in inches centered on its mean; Height^2= qadratic centered height"

so what should we do? Is the above an appropriate way to do it or should we simply say "height = height in inches, Height^2 = height squared"

We double check with Dr. Kim about about the table note and he agreed that any transformations should be noted in the report and to repeat it in the table note would be redundant.

But just to clarify, Dr. Kim said we do need to included squared height as a separate variable in the table. At first, I thought the comment meant that we shouldn't put it in the table.
