do we need to have a split file before running a t-test and anova for Q2?
as i am inputting in the variables for the T Test, i am selecting Y as the test variable and X as the grouping variable defined by (0 1) but the output table is blank " the independent samples test is not produced"? what am i doing wrong?

Hello, and sorry somewhat for the late response.
You do not need to split the file. Is X really the grouping variable here? X represents continuous data; can you use continuous data directly to group?
